WebThe Clergy of the Church of England Database (CCEd) is a collaborative project offering online biographical data on clergymen for the period 1540-1835 from archives in England and Wales. CCeD also contains information on dioceses (including lists of bishops), and on locations where clergy served. WebThe Basic Search screen provides two separate routes to identifying records in the CCEd, which cannot be used in combination: one solely concerned with using the CCEd unique identification number (CCE ID) to retrieve the records of a specific individual; the other being designed for simple searches concentrating on a name or a location.
