For red dot ranges (within 250 yards) I still hold center mass and shoot about as well with my blurry Aimpoint as I did with my sharp EOTech. For anything beyond that, I'm using magnified optics which aren't affected by my astigmatism. WebMay 14, 2024 · I have a Vortex Strike Fire II red dot and with my glass's on, the dot is round on the low to medium settings. If I put it on the mid high setting, it will become egg shaped. The same thing happens with MRD's on my pistols as well. My astigmatism is bad, but as long as I ware my glass's, I am fine on the most part with red dots. bob markey real estate

I can't use a red dot because my contact do not correct for astigmatism. If you have astigmatism this is the scope to buy.
